Star of television's "Desperate Housewives," Alfre Woodard is sharing some secrets - no, not from Wisteria Lane, but from America's desperate, and not so desperate, housewives. The Emmy Award-winning actress says that a recent survey by Harris Interactive has uncovered some provocative secrets of real American housewives. "In fact, many of the findings would make great fodder for the storyline on the show," said Woodard. According to the Playtex® Secrets® survey of more than 1,300 married U. S. women, nearly three out of four (72 percent) say they have a deep secret, but more than one in three have not divulged it to anyone. Nearly half (44 percent) say they've had a secret crush. Surprisingly, nearly half of those women (48 percent) are secretly crushing on someone they work with-a co-worker, colleague or even their boss. Even more revealing, about one in five (21 percent) admit to having secretly admired their husband's friend(s). Three in 10 married women (29 percent) describe their relationship with their mother-in-law as one of toleration. Shockingly, as many as one in five (20 percent) say they'd love for their husband's mother to move in with them. About three in five married ladies (61 percent) say they gossip. Among those who do, 31 percent say they tell tales about their boss, co-workers or colleagues, while three in 10 (30 percent) dish about their neighbor(s). More than one in four (28 percent) chit-chat about their in-laws, while one in five (22 percent) talk about their husbands. The survey was conducted by Playtex® Secrets®, a beautiful and elegant intimate apparel line for full-size women, to highlight the introduction of its new Legacy Lace™ collection. Each style offers such hidden comfort features as breathable Airform fabric. Each bra incorporates luxurious feminine detailing, such as lace and scalloped edging, features designed to help make women feel confident and beautiful. Sizes range from 36 to 44 C, D and DD. Such fashionable bras could quickly become a woman's best-kept secret weapon.

Auto insurance quotes
By taking the time to shop for and compare auto insurance quotes, you can find the best policy that is right for you, and many times you can lower the cost of your auto insurance coverage. Many drivers see auto insurance as a necessary expense, but one that is distasteful to them. When asked if they'd pay for auto insurance if it wasn't required by law, some admit that if they didn't have to pay for auto insurance they'd save themselves the money. The truth is that given the right insurance, in unexpected circumstances it can be very beneficial to have paid those insurance premiums every month. Auto insurance can provide financial protection and help prevent severe financial hardship in the event of an unexpected accident. Shopping around and getting auto insurance quotes from several companies can allow you to compare the companies, their policies, and the cost of their premiums. In order to effectively do this though, you need to have enough information to make a real comparison between one set of auto insurance quotes and another. This information can help you make sure that you get the coverage you need from a good company at the lowest rate. So what should you do to make sure that you get the most accurate auto insurance quotes available? Here are some suggestions from experts: 1. Make sure that you compare similar policies. Auto insurance quotes take into account the types of coverage you select, the amount of deductibles you're willing to pay and a number of other factors when figuring your premium. In order to accurately compare a number of quotes, make sure that each quote you request is for the same options on your policy. 2. Give the same amount of information to each agent that you ask for auto insurance quotes. Whether you're comparing quotes online through a web interface or over the telephone, the amount that you're quoted will be affected by where you live, how far you drive to work each day, how old you are, who else may drive your car, as well as a number of other factors. The more information you can give when you ask for a quote, the more accurate the insurance agent can be with his estimate. The opposite of that holds true, too – the less information you give, the more general the quote will be. If there is any question, an agent will usually quote you a higher rate. 3. Ask about special discounts for safety features as well as safe driver points. When you're gathering quotes for auto insurance, be sure to ask directly about safety feature discounts and safe driver discounts that may apply in your situation. Then you can be sure that they are included in your quotes. 4. Understand the differences in insurance terminology. What is the difference between collision coverage and comprehensive coverage? How can raising your deductible lower your insurance costs? What will replacement transportation or glass coverage cost, and is it worth it for you? Researching the answers to these questions and knowing which options are included in your auto insurance quotes will make it far easier to decide which is the best policy for you. How your credit report affects your financial situation
Many people view credit reports like a visit to the dentist - it's something that has to be done but they don't like it. This is especially true for people who have had financial problems in their past, but the fact is it's important to be familiar with your credit report because if you ever need to apply for a loan, that is where the lender will get their information. There are 3 major crediting reporting services in the US: Equifax: PO Box 740241, Atlanta, GA 30374 Transunion: PO Box 2000, Chester, PA 19022 Experian: PO Box 2002, Allen, TX 75013 Your credit report contains a history of your credit cards, car loans, home loans and other debt. It shows any late payments, how late they were, 30 day past due, 60 day past due, etc. Any qualified lender has access to that information - a bank, mortgage lender, credit card companies and certain other parties during legal proceedings. The credit reporting agencies do their best to keep accurate records, but errors can creep into your report. This is one of the main reasons you need to keep on top of your credit report - these errors can have a negative effect on any financial matters if left uncorrected. Some of the more common errors include loans that have been repaid still showing as active and long-cancelled credit cards still showing as active. By getting copies of your reports from all 3 agencies, you'll be able to review them for any errors or inaccuracies. They can be corrected, however. You'll need proof of the error, which you'll need to send by registered mail to the credit reporting service along with the details of the error. Ask them to correct the data - by law they need to investigate any errors reported to them. Recent legislation has made it so that you can obtain one free copy of your credit report annually, so as long as you don't request more than one per year you shouldn't have to pay for it.
What to see and do in dubai
Dubai, a relatively new tourist destination, is basically a desert city with excellent infrastructure and superb tourist amenities. Its liberal policies as well as its convenient location just three hours away from most Asian countries and five hours away from Europe, make Dubai very popular as a short-break destination for tourists from both countries that are looking for exciting shopping, fine dining, great partying and a host of unique sporting events. Though Dubai can get extremely humid and hot in the summer months, with temperatures touching 50 degrees Celsius from May to September, it is a great place to visit during the more pleasant months of September to April. As a prerequisite to obtaining a tourist visa to Dubai, your passport should be valid for a minimum of six months before your arrival. Individuals who intend to spend less than thirty days in the United Arab Emirates may apply for a tourist visa, whereas visit visas are issued to those who intend spending more than 30 days in the country. Dubai, a city of superlatives, is home to the tallest, highest, largest and fastest. It is home to Burj Dubai, which upon completion in 2008 will be the tallest building in the world, surpassing the Taipei 101 in Taiwan. Dubai offers visitors a host of unique experiences including the exciting Dune Bashing, thrilling hot air balloon rides, golfing or for something entirely different - sand golfing. Visitors to Dubai can experience the extreme as they go skiing and snowboarding in the large, specially built snow skiing center or go sand-skiing and sand boarding in the hot desert sands. Wild Wadi, a water amusement park, in the heart of the city is a great place for kids and adults alike. The Overnight Desert safari is as different but just as exciting as the Morning Desert safari. The Dubai Dhow Cruise takes you sailing down the Dubai Creek while aboard a wooden dhow that is traditionally decorated. Marvel at the major landmarks that are beautifully lit up at night as you take a midnight cruise for a completely different experience. With so much to see and do in Dubai, maybe you’d need much more than just a short break after all.
Three reasons you should not do shoulderstand
Shoulderstand – (Sarvangasana) “Healthy thyroid means healthy functioning of all the organs of the body” The Shoulderstand is called the Queen of all asanas as it benefits the whole body. It is a forward-bending posture engaging all parts of the body and stretching the shoulders, neck and upper back. In the Shoulderstand the whole body is supported by the hands, arms and shoulders. As the body is inverted the blood flows to the heart without any strain by force of the gravity. The Shoulderstand nourishes the thyroid gland which: regulates the body’s metabolism, controls the heart rate, promotes the growth and balances the digestive and nervous system. This asana tones the legs and abdomen increasing circulation to those areas. It massages the abdominal organs and it relieves stress. Because of the enriched blood flow to the brain it also relieves emotional and mental stress, headaches and it is very tranquilising. Three important reasons you should not do Shoulderstand: 1) If you have High Blood Pressure the posture is better to avoid. 2) Anyone who has Cervical Spondylities should not attempt to practice this pose because as you hold the pose the weight of the body is taken through the neck. 3) If you have Glaucoma or Detached Retina please, avoid the Shoulderstand as it could worsen the condition. When you are in the Shoulderstand there will be a sensation of extra pressure and tension in the neck because of the severe flexion in the neck. Your eyes, ears and face may also experience an increased sensation of pressure. During the Shoulderstand the expansion of the chest is restricted leading to breathe at the rates of not less than eight breaths per minutes, and in many cases up to twenty breaths per minute. During holding this posture the blood pressure in the brain will be an average of 110mmHg. Issued in the interest of people practicing Hatha Yoga by Subodh Gupta, Yoga Expert based in London.

To niche or not to niche
(c) 2005, Michael Beauchamp, e-BizResources Unless you've been hibernating for the last couple of years, you've probably heard the term "Niche Marketing" a lot. It's one of the current buzz-words in online marketing. Which is kind of funny really since niche marketing has actually been around pretty much as long as marketing has existed. But what is it? I recently read somewhere that "All marketing is Niche Marketing". I don't entirely agree with that - I'd say "ALMOST ALL marketing is Niche Marketing". Niche Marketing is marketing products or services to groups of people (or businesses) who have specific needs or interests in common. Obviously department stores and their online cousins don't fit that description, but almost everything else is ... you guessed it; "Niche Marketing". In the physical world, your local butcher, baker and candlestick maker (sorry, a LITTLE joke there - very little), greengrocer, shoe store, etc, etc. all cater to niche markets, some more focused than others. And in the online world, any web site that focuses on a particular topic is a niche web site, and that describes the vast majority of web sites online today and in the past. So, those that are marketing any kind of product or service are probably already into "Niche Marketing", and may not even know it. Some niches are more crowded and competitive than others. The niches focusing on internet marketing and making money online are probably the most crowded and competitive online, and getting more so every day. So, it's becoming harder and harder for people just entering that market to make any inroads, let alone a big impact. But, don't panic, there are lots of other niches that are far less crowded and competitive. The current emphasis on "Niche Marketing" could probably be more accurately termed; "marketing to niches other than the 'making-money' niche". Which opens up a lot of possibilities for people just starting out in online business. Do you have a hobby or hobbies? Play a sport? What are your interests, are you passionate about or obsessed with a particular subject or activity? (keep it clean, folks) If so, chances are there are other people who share the same interest and that's a potential Niche Market! The same applies to any other hobbies and interests that you could name. You need to do some research to determine if a particular niche or a related "sub-niche" is likely to be profitable. For example, you'll need to check out: 1. Demand - how many people are searching online for related info and/or products. 2petition - how many other websites or businesses are already catering to that market? 3. Are people actually spending money in this niche? Now that's all well and good, but ... How do you find out all that stuff? And that brings us to ... The Free Download: "Think Niche & Grow Rich" This great little ebook not only explains in more detail what niche marketing is and why you should get involved, but it also gives you a step-by-step guide to researching niche markets, creating products quickly and getting them online. You'll find a number of free resources that you can use if you're short on cash but have some time to spare. Did you know that you can get answers for the above three research topics using free tools at Overture and Google? Another helpful free tool is the software, "Good Keywords". Besides the free tools mentioned in "Think Niche & Grow Rich", you'll also learn about a fantastic software tool that's dead easy to use and will speed up the process by automating most of the research steps for you. I'm sure you'll learn heaps from this ebook and give your profits a long term boost. To download it now, click the link: e-bizresources/thinkniche Whichever route you decide to take, once you've got one niche site up and working well, you can move on and set up another, then another - as many as you want. And it'll get easier with each one you do. So, as with most things I talk about, the next step is to take action, and do it now. Don't worry about getting everything perfect straight away or first time out, just get started. Happy Niche Marketing.

Noel edmonds rises to the top with deal or no deal
Deal or No Deal has become one of the most popular television game shows in the UK. The show began broadcasting in October 2005 and airs afternoons 6 days a week. The show has awarded almost Ј5 million total with an average of Ј16,100 being won each show. Noel Edmonds had already had a long career radio and television but it has been Deal or No Deal which has rocketed him to fame. The game itself is fairly simple and yet it can be difficult as the contestants must decide at what price they will sell out and walk away from the chance of winning big money. It works like this. At the beginning of the show a contestant is chosen and presented with 22 sealed boxes which contain various amounts of money. The player then opens 5 of those boxes to reveal the dollar amount therein. After opening the first five, the banker will then assess the dollar amounts left in play and make an offer to the player. The contestant can accept the offer and the game is over. The player can also say, "No deal!" In that case, he continues to open the boxes three at a time followed by an offer. He may accept an offer at any time one is offered and end the game or the player can refuse all offers and hold out to the very end of the game. Of course, it would only make sense to do so if there were still big money pots in play. The fun part of the game is watching the contestants trying to decide if they should go for a big jackpot or walk away with a smaller but guaranteed prize. There are many tense moments during the show and emotions run high since such large sums of money are at stake. The game has proven to be wildly popular much to everyone’s pleasant surprise. Initially, only 66 shows were planned but the response was so overwhelming that Channel 4 ordered another 230 shows. The formula for Deal or No Deal seems to be a winning one as the game show is popular in many countries with millions of viewers around the world. It isn’t hard to see why it is so popular. Who wouldn’t want the chance to win Ј250,000? Even for those of us who will never make it to the show in person, Deal or No Deal holds a fascinating appeal as we watch people battle the odds for a chance at winning Ј250,000. Deal or No Deal has helped Noel Edmonds stage a career comeback and Noel has been instrumental in making the game show the success that it is today.
Broadway makes new york sing
Broadway Makes New York Sing Whenever I think of a trip to New York City whether for a vacation or just a short one or two-day visit I can't help but think of Broadway and the delightful shows that await in these hallowed halls of entertainment delight. Broadway is the essence of New York to me. It can in turns be bawdy, brawling, loud, rowdy, soft, romantic, comedic, and rip-roaringly hilarious. Broadway has it all for those who are willing to look for their perfect fit. The problem with Broadway is that there are so many wonderful shows to see and such limited time (for most of us) in which to see them. I don't even believe those who live in New York City have enough time in which to appreciate the artistic treasure trove that is represented within this wonderful city that never sleeps. The truth of the matter is that in order to properly enjoy all the theatrical offerings available to you, you'd almost have to never sleep yourself. Musicals It is important to remember that all shows are not available at all times. Check to see if the show you wish to see will be playing during your visit before getting your hopes up. On to the musicals, which are, by the way, my favorite types of Broadway entertainment. Chicago the Musical, Forbidden Broadway (this one offers an hilarious 'spoof' of Broadway), Jersey Boys, Naked Boys Singing (yes, they are!), Phantom of the Opera, Rent, Wicked, and Mama Mia! Comedies Broadway is well known for thumbing its nose at convention as well as for letting it's hair down and having a good ole time. The same holds true for the Broadway theatre of todayedies and musicals on Broadway are not mutually exclusive so some of the hilarity mentioned below will have some degree of song and dance (well most likely quite a bit of both but you will definitely laugh). Let the comedies begin! I Love You, Your Perfect, Now Change (seriously, that's the name we're already off to a great start on the road to laughter). Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead (I think someone's been peeking in my kids windows at night-this one is actually off Broadway but I thought it bore mentioning with such a catchy title and all). Spamalot. This one is rising star with rave reviews by critics and a fairly good attendance rate so buy your tickets early! The Producers, which was recently made as a motion picture and The Little Dog Laughed round up my list of comedies. I hope you've seen something here that looks like a good laugh; I know I've seen a few! Drama While many people think of the happy go lucky song and dance that is often associated with Broadway there is a deep dramatic flare to the offerings as well. Particularly some of the musicals that carry with them profound messages about music, life and love-among these wonderful icons of Broadway are the following: Rent - a very La Boheme meets modern life musical that is probably one of the best Broadway musicals I've ever seen and I'm a huge fan of Phantom. Les Miserables is another Broadway drama that really needs no introduction, Grey Gardens is perfect for anyone who fears becoming a cat lady or spinster, A Chorus Line, Chicago, The Color Purple, Phantom of the Opera (my personal favorite), and The Vertical Hour (this is a new one let's hope it lasts). There are a few family friendly musicals and plays that bear mentioning among them are the following: Wicked, The Phantom of the Opera (may be a little frightening for younger children during certain scenes), Tarzan, The Lion King, Mary Poppins, Momma Mia!, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and Beauty and the Beast. You know your child best and what will or will not be frightening for them or possibly lead to uncomfortable questions for you, view most Broadway plays with that in mind. Broadway is a great way to really enjoy what New York has to offer its visitors for entertainment. While it would hardly be possible to see each and every show that might attract your attention it is quite possible to make the time to view the one that is most appealing to you and it will be quite an experience for the entire family. 730
Things you should know about low interest credit cards
Anyone who shops for a credit card wants the lowest interest rates available. Who doesn’t want the best deal? For many of us, the magic figure naturally is a zero percent, although we fail to notice the fine print that comes with every approved credit card application. A zero percent is an excellent rate and you can't go lower than that. The only catch is that this interest rate isn’t fixed and usually lasts from about six months to one year. After that, the interest rates hike up. Once the introductory period is over, you could be paying an interest rate of about 19% or even higher. Definitely not a good deal. So is the low interest rate credit card just a myth? Who gets it and where? Actually, many banks offer credit cards at low interest rates. You might need to do a little research and shop around. Your very own bank could be offering it and all you have to do to take advantage of better interest rates is to pick up the phone and give them a call. A short, simple negotiation can lower your interest rate several percentage points. There are also credit cards that have a low APR, but you'll have to qualify for them first before your bank issues them to you. Banks like to deal with consumers who have the lowest risk, which means you've got to have good to excellent credit rating. If your credit history has been spotless for a few years, you can go ahead and apply for a low interest credit card. If you've had troubles in the past, you might have to wait a few years or until after your credit rating has improved. What to look for in a low interest credit card Generally, a credit card with an interest rate that is less than 15% is considered as a low interest rate card. The key is to look for the fixed interest rate and not an APR with an expiration period. Ads that trumpet a 0% APR don’t really try too hard to inform you that it's really just an introductory rate. You will have to find that out for yourself by simply reading the fine print. Don’t be tempted by the promise of a 0% introductory rate if you do not foresee paying your balance within the period that the low interest rate is effective. Otherwise, you will end up paying more once the regular interest rate is imposed. Should you have a low interest credit card? Absolutely! A low interest credit card is a great way to save money on your transactions, especially if you regularly use your credit cards for paying goods and services. Low interest rate credit cards are also a great choice if you don’t pay your balances in full and have outstanding balances that carry over from one month to the next. Say for example your outstanding balance amounts to $1,500. With an interest rate of only 8%, you'll only have to pay $120 in interest per annum. That's $105 less than what you would have paid if you had a credit card with an interest rate of 15%. If you have several credit cards, you definitely will feel the difference. A low interest rate card will save you money in the long run. Even if you're considering transferring your balance to a credit card with a low introductory rate, you could still take advantage of the low interest if you can pay for the full amount of your credit card balance before the introductory period expires. You can also enjoy the benefits of consolidating all your credit card bills into one credit card with an interest rate that is light on your wallet. Like any other credit card, a low interest credit card can be used as an effective tool for managing your money. They offer a good bargain but only if they are used wisely and you as the consumer are informed of what you can truly expect.
The exit strategy you must have if all goes right
After a few years, you might find yourself with a successful home business. After a few more, you might find yourself sick of it and ready to retire, only to realise that you have no idea what to do with the business and all the customers who rely on you if you take that course of action. Here's what you need to do to get out of your business without destroying it, and come away with a good nest egg. Selling Your Business. A business has more value than you might expect. As a rule, businesses are bought and sold for somewhere between one and two years' worth of their profits. If you wonder why, consider that the person buying a business gets not only a proven business model, but also all the marketing materials and other intellectual property (trademarks, copyrights, patents), an existing customer base, and years of built-up goodwill. Home businesses, however, can be more problematic to sell than other businesses, for the simple reason that they do not come with business premises. You might have the best luck allowing one of your larger competitors to do a 'takeover' of your business, in which they are mostly paying for your name, branding and customers. This can be lucrative for them, as they get to both eliminate a competitor and expand their own business at the same time. You will need to put some effort in to make your business attractive to potential buyers -- do some analysis on what each element of the business is worth. Show that you have made lots of sales in the past and will make many more in the future. Above all else, buyers are looking at your balance sheet, and the business' potential for growth. They're in this because they want their future earnings to be more than the amount they pay, and if you can demonstrate that they could make that happen quickly then they'll have no reason not to buy. Getting the Right Price. Don't sell your business to the first person who offers, however good their offer might sound -- you need to get offers on the table from everyone you can think of who might be interested. You may even find that they're quite willing to have a meeting with you as a group, and get into a little bidding war. Alternatively, if you already have staff, you may wish to offer them the option to bid too, providing them with a finance agreement. Before you do anything like this, though, it's good to get your lawyer and your accountant to advise you on the best course of action. You will do better on the price of your business if you've planned your sale in advance, instead of waiting to the last minute. The people who get the best prices are the ones who take years to sell their business, and are always prepared to walk away from the negotiating table. Time to Skim. One thing you need to remember when you sell your business is that if there are any shareholders other than yourself, they need to receive their percentage of the business' final sale price. Depending on the terms of the agreement, you may have to buy their part of the business before you can sell it, or give them the option to buy your part before you offer it on the open market. On top of that, you will also have to pay tax on the sale of your business. Always consider how much an offer is going to be worth to you after tax, not before. Starting from a Powerful Position. Once you've sold your business, there's one thing left that you can do. With the lump sum you just got from the sale, you're in a great position to start a new business! If the sale didn't include your equipment, then it shouldn't be too hard to get started again -- and this time, you'll have a lot of money to invest. Not only that, but you've proven yourself to be good to lend to, so any finance you need should be far easier to obtain. Keep building businesses and selling them every few years, and you can quickly get hold of the resources to build something truly great. Good luck!
